Henry Kissinger, Father of America’s Cold War Foreign
Policy, “We are at the edge of war with Russia and China on issues which we partly
created, without any concept of how this is going to end or what it’s supposed
to lead to”

Henry Kissinger, the most outstanding statement on
foreign affairs, said “We are at the edge of war with Russia and China on
issues which we partly created, without any concept of how this is going to end
or what it’s supposed to lead to.” In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Henry Kissinger, 99, was the United States secretary of state. He advised
the US not to “accelerate the tensions and to create options, and for that must
have some purpose.” Foreign policy is “very responsive to the emotion of the
moment.” Kissinger added. At the height of Cold War tensions, Henry Kissinger maintained
peace and stability in East-West relations in Europe through détente.
The Soviet Union’s
decision to hastily end the Cold War was one of the greatest tragedies in human
history. The result was that the world was dominated by imperial and colonial
powers. After the collapse of the Soviet Empire, the countries of Eastern
Europe that were freed in its orbit joined NATO, a military alliance of imperial and
colonial powers. Soviet leaders took these decisions with great integrity. They
trusted the US and European neighbors not to challenge Russia’s sovereignty and
will not do politics to create danger for the security of Russia. But after the
end of the Cold War, the new sun of peace had not yet dawned when the United
States announced its plan to expand NATO. The recruitment of former Warsaw Pact
countries into NATO began, on the second day after the end of the war, and America started planning future wars. Russia and China kept themselves out of
battles. And their focus was on becoming a future economic power. America has wars
according to its planning and Russia has become an economic power in Europe
according to its planning and China has become an economic power of the world
according to its plan. The US economy is running a war deficit. China’s economy
has a trade surplus. Russia’s economy was running a surplus in oil and gas. In the
first decade of the 2000s, Russia’s foreign reserves were $700 billion. Earlier,
Russia’s foreign reserves reached trillions of dollars, and US relations with
Russia became strained. Russia’s timely intervention in Syria saved the Syrian
state from collapsing. America’s adventures in the Middle East were put on hold by
Russia. America started imposing economic sanctions on Russia. Russian diplomats were expelled from the United States. This US policy was to send Russia back into
the Cold War.
America had declared
China and Russia as strategic enemies. Military build-ups and alliances began
to form around China, and NATO was placed on the borders of Russia, but despite America’s
provocation, China and Russia showed extreme restraint. They helped free the US
from the Afghan war. Moscow and Beijing held talks with Taliban leaders to end
the war. And finally, an agreement was reached between the United States and the Taliban
to end the war. After 20 years, the US was freed from a failed Afghan war that was costing
a billion dollars a month. One billion dollars a month would have been spent on the
American people. The Biden administration pitted Ukraine against Russia. It was
the first major war in Europe after World War II. It was a NATO war, which NATO
countries imposed on Russia. Until recently, Russia had sought a peaceful
solution to the conflict with Ukraine. But the United States and the Secretary
General of NATO Stoltenberg stood in the way of its peaceful resolution. No one
in the world wants war except America and NATO.
Let the world think that
the Afghans. Who had already destroyed their country, their homes, their families,
in the war with the Soviet Union for the West, and the way America had left
landmines in Afghanistan. A million Afghan children are crippled by it. NATO fought
a war in this country for 20 years and finally surrendered to the Taliban. Now
the Ukrainians not only destroying their own country in the war with Russia for
NATO, but they are also destroying the Europe that America built with the
Marshall Plan after the Second World War.
