During the 2016 presidential election campaign, an American asked me for whom I would vote. Instead of answering him, I asked him for whom will he vote. He said he will vote for Donald Trump. I am Catholic and Trump will end abortion. I told him Trump is not a conservative. Trump is a New Yorker liberal. This American said Trump will end abortion. I emphasized making history in America by electing the first woman president. The alliance of Christian Evangelicals, Anti Abortionists, and Israeli Hawkish elected Donald Trump as President. Donald Trump did not have a political ideology, but the partnership of the three had a political agenda. And it is not hidden from anyone. The Democratic Party has made a fatal blunder by adopting a strategy of harshly opposing President Trump. This strategy of the Democrats kept President Trump in his political base instead of coming out of his political base and allowed President Trump to implement his political base's agenda. The Democrats’ confrontation with the Trump administration was the wrong decision. Confrontational politics never achieve goals. Democrats wasted time on an investigation into Russia’s meddling in the 2016 election and then two impeachments. The Democrats did not gain anything from this, but the political division in  the United States increased. Democrats focused more on investigations and impeachment. While President Trump’s political base focused on changing the Supreme Court. President Trump has placed a highly ideological conservative on the Supreme Court and has appointed more than two hundred federal judges. The map of the Supreme Court and Federal Courts has changed. These are lifetime appointments.

Protecting the Supreme Court from the dominance of ideological conservatives -- more than Donald Trump – was crucial. Just as the Democrats embraced election rigging in 2000, and George W. Bush was accepted as president. Donald Trump was not elected by fraud; he was elected by the votes of the American people. Talk of Russian meddling was unnecessary. Democrats should have accepted open-minded Donald Trump as president. Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Democratic leaders in Congress should have engaged with President Trump. President Trump’s foreign policy, national security policy, economic policy, etc. could be changed but judges in the Supreme Court cannot be changed. Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Democratic leaders in the Senate, along with moderate Republican senators, would have tried to ensure that the Supreme Court did not tilt toward ideological conservatives. President Trump is not such a bad person. They listen to everyone. They are very flexible. If the moderate Republicans in the Senate, including women, were to recommend a moderate to the Supreme Court, President Trump would certainly consider it important, and maintain the status quo on the Supreme Court.
