Eighteen months after the Ukraine-Russia war,
the second NATO summit was held in Vilnius, Lithuania. A new NATO Secretary General
was to name before the conference, the term of the current Secretary General
Jens Stoltenberg extended last year, but NATO did not get a new Secretary
General this year, so the term of the current Secretary General had to be extended
for one more year. This suggests that in eighteen months NATO has strengthened
or is showing signs of weakening. President Biden said in an interview before
going to the NATO meeting, “Ukraine cannot become a member of NATO. Ukraine
must first stop the war with Russia and bring stability to the security
situation, after that, Ukraine considered joining NATO.” NATO Secretary General
Stoltenberg, who wrote the script of this dramatic war, had agreed with
President Biden’s position. President Zelensky was disappointed by this sudden
change in American position, after eighteen months of war. The world was also surprised
by the change in NATO's position. If only the reports and statements that Iraq does
not have lethal weapons and Saddam Hussein is not a threat to global security
given importance, humanity could have been saved from financial losses and destruction.
Ukraine was also misled by similar statements. Russia was not a threat to Ukraine
at all. But thirty NATO countries threatened the border of Ukraine to Russia.
The world that did not accept America’s position on Iraq today does not accept
the US-NATO claim that Russia invaded Ukraine. The place that President
Biden and Secretary General Stoltenberg are expressing today on Ukraine joining
NATO, if this position had been adopted eighteen months ago, Ukraine could have been saved from this horrible disaster. President Putin has said he still considers
Ukrainians his brothers. Their war is with NATO.
President Biden has said that the United
States has run out of weapons and new weapons cannot be made so quickly. This is
the first time an American president has spoken the truth in the last 23 years,
America has been in wars of Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, war with ISIS,
al-Qaeda. But President Biden’s statement in Congress strongly criticized
that the President has harmed the national security of the United States. The
presidential campaign has started in America. Meanwhile, Russia-China has
stepped up its attacks on the dollar-base financial system, the use of the dollar
in the world has fallen from 90 percent to 65-70 percent. The trend of trading in
regional currencies is increasing rapidly. Indian Prime Minister Prime Minister
Narendra Modi, who was in America just a few days ago, received a red-carpet
welcome, President Biden tried to bring India to his side away from Russia and
China. But Prime Minister Modi came on a one-day visit to the United Arab Emirates
to reach an agreement to trade in Indian currency between the two countries. America
has become worried about the security of its dollar domination in the world. In
this troubled situation, it came out of President Biden’s mouth that “stop
attacking Russia.” it seems that President Biden wants a solution to end the
Ukraine-Russia war before the end of this year.
The effects of the
Ukraine-Russia war are now felt in the economy of European countries. In the first
quarter of this year, was flat, Britain’s GDP was zero, while Germany‘s was 2
percent and France’s was 1 percent. President Biden, 18 months ago at the beginning
of this war, said on the severe economic sanctions on Russia that the world
had never seen such sanctions. Russia banned from using the dollar, euro, and Japanese
yuan. The economic sanctions of America and Europe have not affected Russia
much. Russia trades in Chinese currency, and the countries that are trading
with Russia are also paying in Chinese currency. Russia’s oil and gas exports were banned. But Russia’s oil was coming to America through India, and India paid Russia in Chinese currency. India made $32 billion from this trade and had
good relations with both the United States and Russia. But Prime Minister Imran
Khan was punished by the Biden administration for having good relations with
Russia, who went to Moscow to buy cheap oil for his people. Army Chief General
Bajwa overthrew the Imran Khan government. This was not the first incident in
Pakistan’s 75-year history. Even during the Cold War, India had beneficial
relations with America. However, NATO countries have used an inexperienced
young leader in Ukraine for their own agenda.
